Probably not: if the test was initially negative, then 99% you are not pregnant. Test again to be sure but don't worry about what happens hours later, just see what the initial answer is.

Unusual: wait 24-48 hours and do another one. i have seen this happen a couple of times and the test is later positive when repeated. it may not be however.

Try Test Again: I think you should test again with your urine from first thing in the morning. To improve accuracy wait a few more days. You may want to use a different test as well. Try one with the sensitivity to pick up early pregnancy. In the meantime make sure you are drinking enough water and taking a prenatal vitamin. Good luck and best wishes to you!

Test again: Follow the instructions exactly, as to time of day, &time after missed period. If it is still negative when it is read when it is supposed to be read, then wait a week & repeat. If there is the possibility of pregnancy, but test is negative, assume you may be till sure definitely not (a normal period). Until then, no smoking, alcohol, drugs, or over the counter meds except a prenatal with folate (folic acid)
