Maybe: AS your doctor told you this is very frustrating. You can treat the endometriosis with mediction, but the side effects can be frustrating. Once you reach menopause it will resolve naturally. Fibroids as well become less of a problem after menopause. If things are just terrible for you hysterectopmy and oopherectomy is a solution. Your doctor will help you decide what is best in your case.

May be: It depends on what was causing the pain. Lysis of adhesions can help pain but they can recur and the pain can be worse. If the endometriosis was causing the pain, this won't help but can guide the treament to things that will help. I had one patient who came to me after a hysterectomy for pain and the pain continued. It turned out that it was because of a back problem and back surgery fixed it.
