EMDR: People have reported success with EMDR for different symptoms, however, this may not be effective for you. You may also have some success with neurofeedback as a treatment option.

Generally Helpful: Although empirical evidence is mixed, most clients I have spoken with have found this quite helpful. EMDR strongly increases a patient's sense of having control in their lives and over symptom management, which in and of themselves can be quite beneficial. I agree with your doc.
