Yes: Start exercise gradually. Warm up and stretch before you exercise to get your muscles loosened up. After you exercise, stretch some more to keep your muscles from tightening up. Work into your new exercise routine gradually- don't go full out at first! Take it easy. You are using muscles you haven't used in a while, in a different way. It takes time to get used to it. Good for you!!
