A member asked:

Are there any rheumatic diseases that cause a unilateral, cold and swollen posterior calf?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Get help: Rheumatic diseases usually do not cause unilateral symptoms, but they can. A swollen calf can be due to infection or due to blood clots. Only way to find out is to see your doctor or go to an urgent care or ER.
