A member asked:

Perfect gluc levels throughout day. up to 110 upon waking. only 74-85 at bed time. normal to consistently experience dawn phenomenon, or pre-diabetic?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If you are overweigh: lose the weight through diet and exercise, particularly if you have a family history of diabetes. Don't eat at bedtime. You have mile prediabetes, but the exact term you apply is meaningless as it's all a long-term progression with arbitrary cut-off points that are of no real significance -- it's all the same disease with the same health risks.
