Difficult: Lillian most forms of malaria are easy to deal with and treat.P falciparum is tough and often difficult to treat. If the malaria has come back it need to be retreated. Smears of the blood know as wet smears and dry smears are examined. Then once identified it needs to be blasted with the drugs now available.
