It's irregular: Menstruation results from a complex interplay of hormones in the pituitary, adrenal glands, ovaries, etc. If one factor is altered it can set off a change & irregular bleeding can result. It does not signal infertility or any other specific problem. Most likely, if your period was regular before, regularity will resume. This can even happen if you are on the pill. If it happens again, seek eval.
