Prenatal vitamins: are very important for pregnant women, especially folic acid (folate). Many are available over-the-counter without a prescription. The earlier you start the better! Don't forget to eat a well balanced diet, rich with fruits, veggies and lean protein. Get plenty of rest and regular exercise. If you smoke or do drugs: QUIT! Make an appointment for prenatal care. Good Luck with your pregnancy.
