A member asked:

Anyone been given leukine (sargramostim) to raise your white count and did you have any adverse side effects?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Leakine side-effects: Leakine or gm-csf is typically prescribed in patients who have undergone chemotherapy known to drop the WBC count. The side effects include a rash at the site of injection, which is best addressed with Benadryl . Low grade fevers, muscle and joint pains are also common, which is addressed with tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen.
