Short term: Leukine, or gm-csf, is a marrow stimulating factor to help your white blood cells increase, usually because you are getting chemotherapy. Just like any medicines, there are potential side effects. The most serious would be an allergic reaction, which is rare. Commonly we see bone pain or arthralgias and low grade temps. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is usually effective at relieving these short-term side effects.
