Either: Without an exam it is difficult to answer. It could be either kidney or sciatica. Better safe than sorry. Follow up with your doctor. If pain gets worse or develop fever then go to ER. In meantime, drink a lot of fluids. Look online for stetches for sciatic pain or piriformis.
