Braces?: This is normally only done in conjunction with dental braces or some other sort of orthodontic appliance designed to move your teeth and, in your case, correct your crossbite. By keeping your teeth apart, they can more faster and more predictably. It's tough to chew, but there's no other choice sometimes. Are you in braces? If not, I can't think of any other reason to place "blue cement."
