Osa: The most causes of excessive daytime sleepiness include obstructive sleep apnea (osa), sleep deprivation and medication side effects. Risk factors for osa include obesity, a short neck, snoring or witnessed apnea episodes during sleep. It is also possible these symptoms are not due to an underlying medical problem.
