Privacy!: There is no reason why a parent need be with you. There are many things that a gynecologist, or any doctor, for that matter, need know that your parents do not. She will ask about your cycle, sexual activity if any, use of condoms and other methods of birth control, safe sex, smoking, alcohol, drug use. Rest assured that she would never discuss such subjects with your parents without your okay!

Lots: Depending on the laws of your state and the office you can be seen for emergency care but depending on the situation they may need to contact your parents as you are not an adult yet. Please talk with your doctor and parent to see whats the best situation for you. They will ask you a complete history and physical related to your medical, surgical history, private parts, as well as your entire body
