Stop the alcohol etc: Alcohol can raise blood pressure significantly in many people, as can nicotine. I would stop the beer and the chew for at least a few days and see what happens to your blood pressure. If it does not come down, you should see your doctor for an evaluation. High blood pressure at your age is often secondary to other issues- narrowing of arteries in the kidneys for one, and there are others.
