Biological illness: Anorexia is a Psychiatric disorder, with both biological components and psychological components. Patients with anorexia decrease the amount of food they eat to an extreme, and undergo extreme weight loss, along with many moderate to severe accompanying symptoms. It may, in some cases, be a life threatening illness.

Anorexia: Is decrease sensation of appetite. Symptoms depend on cause of anorexia, for example anorexia nervosa which cause binging, purging, amenorrhea, fatigue, swollen joints, hair loss, etc. Etiology unknown in most cases of eating disorders, but genetics, environmental, psychological & medical factors can attribute.
