Inflammatory: Nasal polyps are fluids filled sacs that grow in the nose and sinuses and are most often caused by airborne allergens or aspirin allergy. The may need surgery. They are not usually caused by fungus and can sometimes be made to shrink by use of an intranasal steroid like Flonase or Nasacort (triamcinolone).
