Confusing question: Maybe you misundertood your doctor or your diagnosis. For nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) due to chlamydia, there is a small chance urethritis will continue, in which case additional antibiotic is needed. There is a condition called postgonococcal urethritis (PGU), which can follow gonorrhea if treatment doesn't include an anti-chlamydia drug (which it always should). Check with your doctor.
