IUD: IUD stands for intrauterine device. Is a small device placed inside the uterus some have hormones and need to be replaced between 8 to 24 months and others do not contain hormone are covered with cooper and the cooper acts as a spermicide. The IUD looks like a T with a string attached it is usually placed in the doctors office.
