dr i got preg 5 mnths before and ends in miscarriage at 5 weeks, now on ttc again. do we need to check his sperm count?? last time tried for 8 months

No: If you had a miscarriage, you should see if this recurs and if so go to a board certified OB and find out why. There are blood tests that can be performed to have an idea if there is a genetic component or other etiology.
