Foot fungus: Try topical tolnaftate. If you're not better in two weeks, get seen.

Rash: It is unlikely herpes. The 2 most common possibilities are atopic dermatitis or a yeast infection. Have your doctor exam the rash and start you on the best treatment.

Toe sores: What you describe does not fit herpes. The location is not typical. Most likely you have yeast/fungus that grows in toe clefts. Minor eczema may also exist. To care for this: keep dry, expose to air periodically, add foot powder, apply anti-fungal cream which you can purchase without a prescription. Shoes matter: if you can, wear sandals to allow air exposure.

Fungus more likely: The rash you describe is often "athlete's foot" which is a fungal infection worsened with sweating or damp socks. Over the counter antifungal creams or powder can often quickly get rid of the rash and itching that goes with it.
