No but: Acid reflux requires some fluid in the stomach. However consuming food or liquid may dilute out the stomach acid and make it less acidic. It is unusual however to have more symptoms from not eating since it is usually related to having eaten too much (especially fat and acidic foods)

Can happen: Particularly if stomach slow in emptying and acid acculates in stomach associated with incompetent esophageal sphincter at end of stomach.
