The throat includes: The top of the swallowing and breathing passages, depending on exactly where, trouble breathing or swallowing, change in voice quality or hoarseness. Early diagnosis leads to best outcomes, and more choices: surgery, radiotherapy, alone or with chemotherapy. If you have it, something needs to be done.

Velscope oral cancer screen shows black spots on throat. Oral surg and ENT say they don't see anything/no symptoms, so won't do anything. Is there a protocol for early dx/positive Velscope? By definition, screening occurs with no symptoms. Confused.
