Home remedies: Although what u get from a dermatologistbwill likelybbe the most effective there are some otc products and methods u can try. First try not to rub or scratch bcacuse this will may psoriasis worst and can even spread it. If u dont mind the mess, vaseline applied regularly and especially after the bath is helpful. Even better to apply "press and seal" a product made by glad over the vaseline.

Non curative: There are hundreds of treatments for psoriasis most are based on tar or sulfuric acid so all creams from volcanic origen may help. Other compounds are steroids, so steroid creams or ointments help. In nature ultraviolet light ( sunlight) may help. Other creams are made of vitamin d, so take over the counter vitamin d 5000 units per day ( best is to check your levels). There is no cure now.

Vaseline: The more you do to psoriasis the more difficult it gets to treat. I like to have patients use vaseline for 2 weeks out of the month and a topical corticosteroid for the other 2 weeks. This keeps the steroid effective for a longer period of time.
