What are the symptoms of mild post traumatic stress disorder?

Mild PTSD may: Present w intermittent nightmares or mild to moderate insomnia. Startle response may be increased. There may be some avoidance behaviors. Painful memories and feelings may resurface without full blown flashbacks. The reliving doesn't take up large parts of the day. Physiological arousal is not severe. The bottom line is that the symptoms cause pain but do not lead to major impairment in function.
