Sore throat: People can get neck pain when ill. If the pain is of a nature that it hurts to move your neck and you need to keep it still that in concerning. You have had a week of sore throat, probably time to get checked.

Be checked: You need an assessment to look for infection. Often ear and throat infections are associated with neck pain. You sound alert so this is unlikely meningitis but it can't be diagnosed without an assessment and testing. Be seen at the urgent care.
