A member asked:

I can start walking at 2.0mph with no incline on a treadmill and my heart rate is 98-108 by 1 hour of walking my heart rate is 115-130 is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

At steady pace, yes!: If you mean that you don't change the incline or speed, this would be quite normal. With more vigorous exercise, you might expect your heart rate to achieve 70-75% of your predicted maximum (220 minus your age) or about 137-147 beats per minute. If you feel in good, keep exercising with only gradual increases in the level of exertion as long as you are feeling comfortable during the exercise.
