Yes: As this is a high risk injury for tetanus and your last tetanus shot was over 5 years ago, you should have an updated shot. Keep the area clean and watch for any signs of infection, swelling or redness or drainage.

It depends: If it was a deep or dirty wound the cut off is 5 years. A superficial wound like a scratch will probably be okay within the time frame you mentioned. Check with your doctor to be sure and it's always better to be safe. Good luck.

Tetanus shot: In theory you don't need a booster for ten years, but in this case it can't hurt to take another booster
