See details: If you are 4 days late and sexually active, pregnancy is always a possibility. This type of bleeding might be associated with a miscarriage. I have also seen a normal pregnancy start out with a lot of bleeding. If you are not pregnant, it is most likely caused by an anovulatory cycle. See your gynecologist, for a pregnancy test and examination.
