Not necessarily: Concussions, or TBI, can cause personality changes, and many other symptoms. Loss of sex drive is one of these. It is possible that this could be permanent, but the brain also takes a LONG time to heal, even years, so all hope is not lost. Hope this helps!

Depends: Do you have lack of desire, lack of physical erection, or both? The problem may result from a direct effect of damage to a part of the brain that effects desire or your ability to have an erection. Or you may have post traumatic stress disorder PTSD which can effect desire. Have you had a thorough evaluation of this important aspect of your injury? Please do so. Hope that helps.

No: recovery from traumatic brain injury can take several years. Please speak to your doc to ensure nothing else is affecting your sex drive.

Brain injury: A head injury can have profound effects on personality, hormone function, and cognitive ability. It is important to see an endocrinologist to exclude pituitary dysfunction. Likewise, neuropsychological testing will uncover any cognitive deficits. Clinical depression can occur after a brain injury and lead to a lack of energy or enthusiasm for life and for sex. See a brain rehab physician.
