First things first.: If you have low back pain that is severe and/or persists, you need to see a physician to have a diagnostic evaluation: history and physical, some basic tests. At your age there are usually simple issues such as muscle strains that can cause bad pain, but there are more concerning things like kidney infection. If you have pain with fever go to an ER now. Otherwise, call MD tomorrow & C MD same day

Get seen: If you have new back pain that is severe & does not get better with normal dose of tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen, or if you have fever, vomiting or get worse, etc., then you need to get seen ASAP at an Urgent Care or ER. You have not provided enough details to be more specific. If Tylenol (acetaminophen) & a heating pad (30 minutes at a time only) helps for now, continue the tylenol (acetaminophen) or motrin (as on bottle) till see MD
