Good results: The Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD is a very effective form of birth control (over 99% effective) that is also very convenient for many women since they don't have to remember to do anything for it as opposed to pills, the patch, the ring, condoms, etc. This makes it very appealing for many women. The most common complaint is irregular bleeding for the first month or so and cramping during the insertion process.
