told i have weak abs/tight hamstrings and this is causing my one sided si joint pain, and nerve pain down leg hurts more @ night. is this possible?

Unlikely: I find that explanation very unlikely. IMO, SI joint pain is a very overused explanation as a cause for low back pain. SI joint issue will not give you radicular symptoms or pain down the leg.

Go to see a health: care provider for evaluation. You may have a spinal compression which needs to be treated before you develop more serious complications. Don't delay.
