Could 6 beers and .5mg of lorazepam cause overdose in average sized male?

Yes, Don't even try: I strongly recommend not trying such a combination as you may be putting your life at risk. Lorazepam should only be taken under supervision by a healthcare provider, combining it with alcohol could be deadly. Seek help immediately if you are depressed or have suicidal thoughts.

Alcohol and Rx- NO: That much alcohol and tranquilizing medication can cause oversedation, loss of balance, respiratory distress, in short.....yeah...NO GOOD. Rule of thumb--- I wish we could somehow post this on the Opening Page of HealthTap's Website...Not the tiniest amount of Alcohol combined with an even TINIER amount of Rx Drugs is ever considered "Ok." in ANYONE. No doctor should ever agree to that notion.
