Excess gas: Beans and some vegetables cause gas in many people because they don't completely digest them, which leads to fermentation in gut, and gas. In the US a non-prescription product called Beano (alpha-galactosidase) helps digest these foods and reduce gas. Simethicone (also non-prescription in US) helps break down gas bubbles in gut, thus reducing cramps. See if you can get them where you live.

Options: Some foods are more likely to cause gas, and gas can be painful. Avoiding these foods is an option, but you could also try products like Phazyme (simethicone) , Beano (an enzyme), or probiotics (healthy bacteria in yogurt or a suppliment pill).
