I am having shooting pain in my right cheekbone/ sphenoid area whenever i swallow. i have had tmj and wondering if this is sinusitis?

Pain in cheekbone.: The sphenoid tenderness may be sinus related but pain with swallowing in the right cheek may be related to the salivary gland. This would especially be the case if the pain worsened significantly after sour food/ drink and may indicate a salivary stone or infection. An ENT visit would clear that up as they could evaluate you for all the above

Either: Could be your TMJ acting up or other causes of pain. See an ENT doc to help sort things out.
