Immediate evaluation: If you have noticed the baby is having shortness of breath he deserves immediate evaluation. It could be related to the normal pattern of breathing for a baby of that age but it could be something that is life threatening. If this has been happening just recently take him to the ED now. Only a doctor can decide what is the problem at this time.
