The ultrasound: An ultrasound at 8 weeks and 1 day would be accurate to within about 7 days or less. Since the due date by the ultrasound is of 10 days from that based on your LMP, the best estimate would be the one from the first ultrasound, the earlier scan is best. Once a date is decided it is not correct to change it. A later ultrasound would be less accurate and would not be a reason to change the date.
