A member asked:

Having antibiotic against urinary infection is the cause of damaging kidney?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: It depends on the antibiotic. Most antibiotics are not toxic to the kidneys, but some are. Urinary infections themselves can damage the kidney though. It is unclear which is the offending agent, especially since I don't know which antibiotic you were on. Hope this helps!
