Warm compresses: and benzoyol peroxide to the pimples may help them heal faster, although benzoyl peroxide is more effective at prevention and maintenance. Unfortunately, only time will heal a scratch, but a topical antibiotic will help prevent infection and minimize scarring. Use sunscreen.

Wound care & acne: Acne can be prevented or minimized by using a gentle cleanser twice daily, over the counter benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid products followed by a noncomedogenic moisturizer such as Cetaphil. An antibiotic ointment to the scratch twice daily may help it heal faster, but may clog pores.
