However location could suggest Appendicitis. Low fiber diet, suboptimal fluid intake, delaying defecation (too busy playing, etc.) commonly lead to constipation in kids. See doctor NOW. Also to address constipation, diet changes (fresh fruit/veggies, etc.

Physician assess: Because of the position of the pain and the presence of slight fever he/she should be examined for the possibility of appendicitis. Twisting of an ovary would be another concern if your child is a female. Poor appetite and sluggish behavior also fit with appendicitis. Have your child seen by your MD or in the ER if more quickly available.
