Hodgkin's lymphoma: is a malignancy of a type of B-lymphocytes, known as a Hodgkin and Reed-Sternberg cell (HRS). It has been a challenge to study this disease because the HRS cell secretes factors that causes it to be surrounded by large numbers of normal lymphocytes. LRS cell neoplasia appears to result from a combination of gene mutations, like other lymphomas; and are often infected with EBV (Epstein Barr virus).
