Period: Are you due for your period now? If so, it is probable that you are on your cycle. Otherwise I would suggest obtaining a pregnancy test to confirm.

Menstrual?: Cannot always tell just by bleeding. Best to do home pregnancy test on first morning urine. If negative, repeat in 7-10 days. If both negative, very unlikely you are pregnant. Always best to use barrier method (ie condom) for ALL sexual encounters to help prevent pregnancy and STD's. Hope this helps. Dr R
