Sounds viral: Diffuse symptoms as these sound viral. Fluids, rest, symptomatic medications and time usually result in resolution. Focal progressive symptoms may indicate a secondary bacterial infection. See your physician if symptoms last or worsen particularly over 10 days.

Upper respiratory: Most of what you're describing is typical of a cold (upper respiratory) virus. But the bitter taste on the tongue and feverish feeling could indicate a bacterial infection of the sinuses or throat. We have an expression, "a cold gets better in 7 days if you treat it & a week if you don't" meaning there's no cure but it'll get better on its own. If you're not better in a week, seek medical care.
