Normal effect of OCs: Most women will experience lighter periods while on the Pill. In fact, the Pill is sometimes prescribed to control heavy menstrual bleeding even in women who don't need it for contraception. There is no reason to stop taking the Pill because of this. Consider it a blessing. If, on occasional you don't have a period at all, you could do a Home Pregnancy test to make sure you're no pregnant.
