Yes: Often attachments to the epididymis twist and then atrophy or disappear. This may be the case with your right side. If you are still concerned an Ultrasound can identify this.

Tough to feel: most people without medical training would have a hard time feeling where their epididymis is. It's just above your testicle and since it's small typically you may not feel it well unless it's infected or inflamed.
