Not necessarily: Beta blockers have lots of effects on the body. Chest pain can have many causes. Just because the chest pain is better with a beta blocker does not mean there is a cardiac problem.

Possibly: While heart is the gorilla in the room that must be addressed (got to check it withMD), esophageal spasm and anxiety are also causes of chest pain that can feel better with a beta blocker. Address the possibility of a cardiac cause first, then if heart is ok evaluate for other possible causes.
