Multiple causes: Hard heart beating, sometimes referred to as "pounding in the chest" can be caused by a rapid heartbeat, premature beats or sometimes even by a slow heart beat. Turbulence usually refers to the disruption of smooth flow through the heart by a valve narrowing or leak. Tachycardia simply means rapid heart beat.
