High Salt: High salt can have a couple of meanings. A common clinical problem in a person with heart and kidney disease is salt retention. The kidney does not excrete the daily salt load, overloading the heart. A much less common problem is a high serum sodium concentration (in blood serum), which reflects an imbalance between sodium and water. I suspect your doctor means the first problem.

High salt: I am not clear if your are saying Dr. says you have high salt diet or if you blood salt (sodium Na) is too high. For low salt diet for HTN causing heart and kidney disease I recommend the DASH Diet But check with dr. first. ISBN: 0-7434-1007-6 Kindle Book-13: 978-1-43914-059-8 BP will start down in a few days.
